You should not have to suffer with acute or chronic pain. If your pain is not responding to other treatments, you should seek a certified pain specialist.

Referrals are required by some insurance plans. If your insurance does not require a referral, we ask you to contact us with a medical record history from your general healthcare provider. Our practice manager can help you with this information.

We accept most major insurance plans. Our staff will confirm your insurance details with you at the time of your appointment.

Acute pain is usually the result of an injury, or perhaps follows surgery or illness. Chronic pain is ongoing and includes headaches as well as back and neck pain. Sometimes the specific cause of chronic pain is hard to pinpoint. Treatments for acute and chronic pain are often very different.

Please be sure we have all your current insurance information and a photo ID. You should bring any radiology films, lab reports, x-rays or MRI images and reports with you. We also require a list of all prescribed medications and any other over-the-counter medications, preparations, ointments, creams, or homeopathic herbals you take. You may also wish to consider preparing a list of questions or key points.

Your first visit with Comprehensive Pain & Wellness Center will include an initial evaluation in which our pain management specialist performs a complete exam in order to assess your areas of pain. We will discuss your medical history, review any written reports and formulate a plan of care.

We accept Workers’ Compensation and no-fault patients and will work with your benefits program. Our staff will discuss details with you.

We’ll perform a thorough pain evaluation in order to determine an effective treatment plan. We’ll review your history and conduct a physical examination. As mentioned above, you should being any films, reports and images with you.

Interventional pain treatments are used to provide relief for a variety of pain conditions, such as chronic lower back pain or arthritis. These diagnostic and therapeutic treatments may include a variety of different therapies, such as epidural steroid injections, spinal cord stimulation or nerve root blocks. These procedures are individualized according to your specific needs and preferences.

Many procedures can be accomplished in less than a half-hour, with some actually requiring only a few minutes. Since many of our procedures are provided at East Side Endoscopy & Pain Center, you might want to be prepared to spend an hour with us. Also, sometimes you will need to come back for additional treatments.
